Leadership White County - 2014 Give Now
Our starburst logo, designed by White County native Diane Fishel-Hall, helps
tell our story:  it is a map of White County!  Each lake-blue spike of the
starburst leads to one of White County’s wonderful communities ~ not just
named towns like Monticello, Brookston, and Monon, but to such communities
as Badger Grove and Lee.  Our starburst radiates strength and excitement!
What a great metaphor for the mission of your White County Community
Foundation:  “to inspire people to strengthen White County through
charitable giving.”
What’s your legacy?
WCCF was established in 1998 in response to a challenge grant initiative from Lilly
Endowment, Inc. called GIFT (Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow). In total, White
County received over $2 million in grants from the GIFT initiative, used to benefit
numerous White County organizations and initiatives – Chestnut Village Apartments
for CDC Resources, the newest addition to the 4-H Building, renovations at the
Wolcott House and Burnettsville Beehive, and numerous other projects.

WCCF is an affiliate of The Community Foundation of Greater Lafayette, a very
positive relationship that affords tremendous value for donors, administrative staff,
and our local governing council.  As an affiliate of CFGL, we are certified as compliant
with the National Standards [link], a highly valued seal of approval from the national
Council on Foundations.  WCCF is very grateful for the many services offered through
our partnership with CFGL.
